Pictures of Zuri my sulcata and it's inclosure.

Those pictures didn't turn out the best so here are some others.

Hi Melissa:

Your baby is beautiful. Please don't think that I'm picking on you, but I want to share something new about raising baby sulcatas:

You should remove the hay from his hiding place. The new school of thought is they should be kept moist in order for their shell to grow smooth. You can't moisten hay as it would mold. If you use a substrate you CAN moisten, then it will help the baby grow right. I like to use cypress mulch, but you can use whatever you like that you can moisten...orchid bark, coconut husk, even dirt.

Zuri is a great-looking baby and I hope you continue to share his pictures with us.

The substrate is 50% topsoil and 50% playsand, he had moved the box..... I try to leave grass so he can eat it through out the day.
