Not a tortoise update, but related. My two mulberry trees I planted on my soon to be home property have settled in quite nicely. We will be starting construction on my new house in 2 short weeks. So soon my pardalis will have TONS of space(3acres).

I will also do a monthly update soon on my groupImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1433299017.487809.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1433299028.467578.jpg

Update time. You will notice that some have grown very nicely since last month and some look like the same photo because of no growth. So the new plan is to create a separate enclosure for the few that haven't grown much and isolate them completely from the others. It seems some flourish with outside time and for others it can be overwhelming .

8"???? Seriously? You're breaking my heart..lol

Have you known of many males to stay that small?
Levi is 3 and was 10" last I measured him. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll at least get 14" maybe 16". Please oh please give me more hope!! :p
Between 8-18 inches on average depending on genetics and sex

I was thinking the same thing! 8"? Beans broke 8" a while back and he's not yet 2 yrs old. I hope this means he will be on the bigger side. :D

Levi is going to be a big boy, I think.

Leopards from certain regions remain very small. I was giving a general size range considering all wild localities.
I would imagine the vast majority of American specimens range between 12-18inches.
The total range in the wild between the smallest and largest adult is probably 8"-28"

Wow, I haven't kept up here. Love your property. What a great place for torts. I have so lost count, how many torts now? Be sure to share building pics too.

Please do tell me to shut up if I don't know what I'm talking about, but I know very little about Leopards and am curious.
Some of these beautiful torts seem to be pyramiding a bit and some are smooth as a babies behind.
It seems to me that the larger ones are more often pyramiding than the smaller ones.
The humidity is presumably the same for all.
So is it possible, do you think, that rapid growth could contribute to pyramiding?
Just a thought, and probably a stupid one.
