It is real hot in Florida today, so I put the sprinkler out for the torts to cool down. Some came and enjoyed the water, other stayed in the shelters(still got wet) Here is the result.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473537975.377333.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473537988.298062.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473537997.463004.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473538008.313585.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473538020.263691.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1473538067.611569.jpg

Lemonhead. They change colors depending on the time of the year. From very colorful to faded.

Hi! Is your mulch the "No Float Cypress Mulch blend" that is sold at Lowe's and Home Depot? I recently bought two bags in order to use as a substrate in my hatchling's enclosure. I immediately put it away after I thought I saw some pine bark in it, and I know pine can make tortoises ill. Have you had any problems at all?

Great photos.
How do you guys go on when it's tornado season. Do you have to fetch the animals indoors when one is expected, I'm assuming the tornados are forecast before they hit.
I know it's a random question, it's just something I think of from time to time, must be a worry.

Yup, mulch is from HD. We use it with our hatchling's and adults with no problems.

Craig: we don't get too many tornados here, but in the event of a hurricane- everyone goes into the garage. Same with winter time when temps go too low.
