I like the Ocala area, lots of beautiful land in Marion County. I'd never heard of Sparr before, but I've probably driven through it a time or two (or several).
Welcome to the forum! Tiny is BEAUTIFUL!Good Morning every one. I am 52 years old and have been involved in reptile husbandry for over 30 years. I currently own 4 sulcatas ranging from 4" to roughly 24". I have worked proffessionally with galapagos and aldaberas, I just cant afford one!!! LOL. Maybe someday! My sulcatas live in outdoor enclosures most of the time. The big guy has a 24'x36' enclosure with lots of grass and a 4'x4' hide box with radiant heat. The little guys have a 8'x8' grass enclosure with a 2'x2' hide box with radiant heat. Hoping one of the little ones turns out to be female. I have a farm in north florida and cant wait to get them up there as they will have a 1 acre enclosure that is pasture grass and will share it with a few pygmy goats.
I LOVE that second picture of Tiny. He is too cute! And your babies are adorable.View attachment 259158 View attachment 259159 View attachment 259160 View attachment 259161 View attachment 259162 View attachment 259163 View attachment 259164 View attachment 259165 Here are a few pics of all 4 of my sulcatas. I also included some shots of my enclosures, and a few of tiny being hand fed his favorite treat (hibiscus flowers)
Thank you!! I think they are one of the coolest animals to own. I have been fascinated by them since I was a child. I have 3 active Florida gopher tortoise borrows on my farm in North Florida. I also regularly monitor a breeding pair in a park near the beach here in Jupiter. Last spring I got to observe the breeding!!!!! Super cool experience.I LOVE that second picture of Tiny.
