UVB bulb keeps popping

On my way to the store for the third time today because for the second time today, the powersun bulb I got popped. I got the correct lamp for the bulb. What am I doing wrong??

Does the fixture have a Bakelite base or a ceramic base? The Bakelite gets too hot for MVBs. Are you using a ten inch or bigger dome?

Fixture must be big enough to accommodate the wattage of the bulb. The socket must be ceramic or porcelain not plastic or any other material. Fixture must be hung so bulb is hanging straight down, not on an angle. Dome must not be too small or too much heat will build up around bulb.

Thanks everyone. I was unaware the bulb needed a deep dome and had to be completely vertical. Bulb #3 seems to be it. :)

How old is the house? Could be some voltage issue

My house is 80 years old, the electricity was replaced entirely 2 years ago. :)
