I have a red foot tortoise in a vivarium, currently waiting on a new vivarium to come which is sized 60x24x24.

Have updated the lighting system, with a uvb strip and a CHE along with a thermostat kept at a certain temperature.

I would like to know what the best way for keeping a high humidity in my vivarium. Also what substrate would you recommend. I'm currently using bark chips but don't like using them that much. Id also like to open up the range of food for my tortoise so would like to know what the best food would be which won't cause them problems with digesting.

My tortoise has also started to form a sleight rip on the neck which I believe is from her stretching out her neck as well as trying to climb around the sides of the vivarium and would like to know what you'd recommend for stopping this.

How big is the tort?

Use a 2” layer of moist coir, then cover about half the enclosure with orchid bark and/or cypress mulch. Use your water dish to maintain humidity levels. The evaporation will do the job for you. Add 2 dishes if need be.
Do not let the substrate get over wet and stagnant.
Feed weeds/greens/fruits/mushrooms and occasionally protein.
