Poor Misty (very large doberman and faithful companion) has Springtime allergies. I use Advantix on her, so I know it's not fleas. Every Spring she sneezes when we go outside (over and over), and she's very itchy. I give her two Benadryl daily but I don't really know as it's doing much good. Now this a.m. there's a new problem. During the night she has licked the back of one front ankle so much that she has licked off the top layer of skin. I can make her stop licking when I'm aware of it, however, I can't do anything about it when I'm asleep.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to protect this front leg until the skin grows back? She'll rip a bandage right off. I live in a very small house and she's a very big dog. I don't think an elizabethan collar would fit in my house.
