Im saying u don't need a $700 enclosure. You can build one or buy one for much cheaper. Just move him inside. that's all
Outside .i give him protection against predators in a closed backyard in general. Morning sun proper diet right humidity right temperature and the prove that i have is the way he changed his pyramid malformation to a "pretty smooth shell ".

Its not just about the temp. There are multiple factors that go into it. Babies need to have specific needs, and if they are not met then they will get sick and can easily die. You can not rely on the weather and the sun to make sure he is okay. Not to mention predators.
You don’t need a 700 dollar enclosure, a closed chamber just from a plastic tote will do, there’s factors on why you shouldn’t not Be keeping tortoises outside (Babies) you will and can control the humidity and temperature if you have a closed chamber chamber, non the less its very ignorant of you. Good luck with the little guy.

hello!
i'd say welcome to the forum, but it's been a month already ? ?
i previously started with an open topped enclosure, definitely wasn't the best enclosure but i bought a small greenhouse to place on top. i see that in your other post, somebody attached a picture of a grow tent. i'm not sure how big your enclosure is but you could just buy a 6x3 grow tent and keep everything inside your house.
you wouldn't have to go outside to take/post pictures of your tortoise outside either!
i'd say that there are more pros than cons when it come to closed enclosure, but youre welcome to keep doing whatever youre doing.
i wish you and your tortoise luck :)
(edit: the greenhouse i bought was about 30 dollars but it doesn't keep humidity in as good as a grow tent but it does the job just fine.)

I agree. There is no point in going back and forth! Its not going to help anyone. Thanks
I wonder what you understand for keeping tortoise outdoors maybe you think that he is wondering around in the grass like an adult and not in a controlled plastic environment where he is with temperature gauges substrate that retain the humidity level at 80% And protection against predators. I live in Florida once again.and the proves that what I'm doing works is the progress that i made on his shell in a tortoise that the first time i post in here was told that he was about to die in the upcoming days just like you just said. don't see why i have to explain this everytime i post in here .some members have valuable information some members make you lose time over some dumb arguments to prove a point.but almost everyone judged very hard and very fast for not reason maybe if you take more time to educate people instead of judging would be more helpful for everyone and if i said hes name on Instagram was for you and for anyone that wanted to see his progress could check him out . Im not looking for followers.
