He loves fresh meat, and you can’t get it any fresher than new born pinky’s. Can’t wait!

I'm delighted to say that feeding live food to reptiles is illegal in the UK. It's considered cruel and unnecessary, particularly as reptiles sold in the UK must either be captive bred, or qualify for sale under CITES regulations... I think it's nasty and wholly unnecessary to feed live food to snakes... sorry.

I'm perfectly entitled to disagree with you on something you post, in public. It's a DISCUSSION forum, after all. I do care about cruelty to animals, however big or small they are. I'm not selective. And I happen to believe that feeding live animals to others in captivity, is wrong, and unnecessary. And the matter has absolutely nothing to do with The UK and its lack of global domination. The obvious fact you really don't give a blind feck about them is more of an indication of your character, than mine.

There's no need to swear.
And I don't consider myself 'wrong'. An animal in the wild, is one thing. A captive animal is quite another. If they're captive bred, there's absolutely no logical reason to feed live prey. If they're captive bred it's already an 'unnatural' condition, so I believe the argument is non sequitur.
I will leave it at that, and exit stage left, with dignity intact.

Cheaper than buying pinkies. You could always quickly euthanize them before feeding so they don't suffer. No different than what big breeders do then freeze them and ship em out. My local rat guy predominantly sells live. He always has to euthanize my rats for me so I have to give him a week notice. I think he uses some kind of gas machine to make them fall asleep then they die. I'd like to see how it's done.
