Good afternoon/evening all,
It's been much drier here today which will continue for most of the week ahead. The temps are dropping back to below freezing while we have clear skies, but that's what they should be so I'm happy with that.

I had lunch with my sister and her family today which was delicious, so it was the end of what has been a very nice birthday weekend made special by lots of people.:)

Back to the grind stone this week with getting jobs done in and around the house, which will be helped by the drier weather. So I'm going to have an early night so that I can be up and busy asap in the morning.

I hope you're all having a peaceful Sunday and I'll see you sometime tomorrow.
Nos Da!

That's great Cathie - good luck with setting it up and looking forward to seeing some pics/footage from it.
Well... I'm just reading the manual so far. I can't believe I got it this quick though for all the trouble I had just ordering and paying for it. I was flabbergasted when I opened my front door today and it was on my front porch. It hasn't been a week.😁

I'm still studying the camera and haven't been able to get to the store yet for batteries and haven't decided yet about what SD card to use. The one coming soon is 32 g which would work. Maybe. Or just get one with more gigs at office max. They're usually dirt cheap this time of year 😁 cheap cheap

Good for you Ms Cathie, many of us are looking forward to your pics with it!

Nice relaxing w/e at the Nook. Superman set up a Antenna to pull in the football games. Kerry has fiber optic, not a TV subscription so she was unable to stream them w/o paying extra.......Oh HELL no! We left it hanging in the front yard, in a Dogwood tree....Sat & Sun.....some real redneck Eastern Shore ingenuity! This morning we relocated it to a pole in the rear giving her local Balt channels 11 & 13....and their subchannels but that's about it. It's cool.

Kerry's printer stopped working.....it's less than 2 yrs old, I got it for her....but knowing she is HORRIBLE at reading manuals.... I set the heads to get cleaned. Then I hollered "Hey honey, ever clean the heads?" "No, you can't, there's no button to do that" REALLY hon, right after melting down about your students b/c they can't think? Sweetheart?
....jeez a wheeze! LOL

I finally got Kerry Christmas present into her home, 1st I left it home and forgot to give it to her on Christmas, then I gave it to her and she left it at my house.....LOL Do other folks do this stupid stuff?? edit---oh, I got her wooden cutting boards including a massive one for turkeys and stuff.

We have been using scooters to race around the local parks, campgrounds, National Monuments, Motorcycle shows for a decade & after finally getting stopped and kicked out of a County park last summer, I read every law/regulation and zoning codes and rules as they pertain to the MD state and local parks and scooters......I like to win! I hate to admit it, but short of lying about my actual health, I had no recourse.....they "got me" LOL. No, not willing to lie to win.

So, over the past 2-3 mos, I've been doing my research on Ebikes(allowed everywhere bikes are), features available, stuff you really want and what doesn't matter, specs of course are wordporn for someone like me so we want to get the most power/WH/usability for what we need them to do, not necessarily what someone else might want to do with them. I found some cool stuff. They actually make dual motor, 5,000W ebikes that will lay a twin wheel patch of rubber like a GTO with Positrac! What a beast! 3 or 4 grand of course...guess rich kids get those?

The "deal with Ebikes that for anything coming out of China, they build "base models" that they sell to resellers who apply their own logo's, paint and up/downgrade certain things...so many Makes may look like the same frame. They are..... but be VERY mindful of the variations in batteries, motor sizes and manufacturers. That's why the Walmart Brand will look like others as with Amazons Vivi does. I also had to keep in mind that I'm not just getting a super duper bike for jeff, I need two so I have to be much more cost-conscious than I might otherwise. We don't need Caddy's, we need to them to work and last.

I narrowed it down to something where fit 2 inside my truck, so foldable and had the layout or ability for me to make it waterproof. Ebikes are not waterproof. I've found that separating water from electrics, works out well for me. I spent nearly an hr each to H2Oproof each of our scooters.....and very well worth it when it was pouring in SC and we had to go 4-5 miles to get back to my truck.....I kept teasing Kerry as it poured that she was going to light up like a Christmas tree when she got electrocuted! LOL

Was able to find the ones I wanted tax free, free shipping of course. Funny story.....Amazon happened to carry to Model so I put in in my "wish list" @ $799.....when I clicked to look at a pic today it's now $999 w/ a coupon....LOL...That alone would turn me off to buying on Amazon. Like I've said before......a good search will always get the old price. I reached out directly to the factory, telling them "my concerns over paying retail for 2 units, then of course my concerns of MD sales taxes that could make me wait to purchase. ..... they were very responsive. "We provide free shipping on all orders. And all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the product price."

They knew exactly what I was doing...I was saying "cut my price & I'm not paying tax"

I just said it in a way they would respond positively to ......sometimes it's too easy LOL

have a good night guys

I didn't know that BD, I'll watch in the future. I put stuff on the shopping list but don't really pay attention to the pricing later...guess I should......but I never put things in the cart that I don't KNOW I'm going to buy.....or else mistakes will happen, they have before! Of course they make it good but it's still embarrassing to admit to their robots that I messed up. LOL

Ordered direct instead of Amazon yesterday(the paypal name was all Chinese...lol), got a Fedex tracking #(label made) last night sometimes and they will be delivered to Kerry's on Friday. Fedex is actually really good where she is. The bikes are coming from New Hampshire of all places! I had them sent to her house b/c there's a chance the shed we ordered will be delivered next w/e too.....would be nice to "work from home" there on Friday and have everything show up, but we all know that isn't going to happen.....that would be way too easy!

Paypal loves me for some reason so I'm not afraid to use them even though I pay for things from my chk account. I had an issue a few years ago and called them on a $1,200 issue, once they confirmed identity, I was transferred to their level ..."VIP Resolution"....they gave me the $ back b4 I even explained the issue! They MUST have me confused with someone else, but I was happy they fixed things for me. Great folks.

Enjoy the day guys

Look what Kerry gets....a little red bike! She'll be so cute riding that! LOL

Well... I do have everything ready for setting up the camera. I even found the right kind of 128g sd card for $20. I can't believe how much they have come down in the price. Inflation didn't affect those. Yeah! Set up oh my garsh. I keep telling myself you've set up 3. You can do this.🤔

45F and kind of yucky outside today. Yesterday was full sunshine & great for garden tidying & raking. Tomorrow - back to 🌞. I think I’ll try & get out kayaking & get some pix.

Bluebird nest box “business” is keeping me busy. Well over 30 built & delivered. I guess my price point is good, not too much, but just enough. 🦅🦆🦜

I haven't seen Blue birds in years. But it might be since I don't get in the country side much anymore. Thanks for helping them out. That's another little bird I love seeing.🤗

Back in the day, Memory ran around 45 bucks a MB.

Making that 128GB card worth conservatively, $5 million- 7 hundred thousand if set in 1988

LOL

But ok is it the right one that'll work 😂 I just found out that the new card is an SDXC. That's ok I'll use it, but will it work in the camera????? The little 32g I ordered came today and hopefully it will. It's a campark. The instructions say to use an SDHC. So I had to Google. Oh my garsh. When I stick an SD card in my new camera it has to be pristine (one that will work). My rule. The instructions aren't clear about what format to put on the card either.. so I'm stuck for now. And dog gone it I had to learn too much again today 😭 😋why did they have to make SD cards so difficult 😜

I would suggest that as long as it's a Class 10 card & it actually fits, you'll be fine!

Too many choices aren't there? LOL

Sounds like a fun endeavor Mark...... everyone wins, the birds, the buyers and you win!

Dang, just checked my email and the ebikes that were supposed to arrive Friday, are now coming later today.

The best laid plans, right? I'm supposed to be in a meeting in Reston VA this morning at 10 but I didn't really want to do a dog & pony show today anyway...LOL

Kerry is up so we talked and I sent her the fedex form to sign and leave on the door. She wants them to carry the 100lb boxes around to the rear deck......good luck with that honey! LOL

She worries about people taking things..... and my rear door hasn't been locked in 17 yrs because I don't.....yet somehow we get along!

It's cool though, these will be fun toys....a lot heavier than the folding scooters we now use but a lot more versatile as no one restricts them. The only thing I've noticed with the less expensive "foldables" is that they don't lock when folded so they can try to open up as you are wrestling them into the car/truck. A small bungee could prove to be the ticket!

LMAO....I sure didn't expect to scroll down and see The Dog! LOL

Got to say though, that life of luxury is working well for him.....considering what he does to his body....LOL

Kerry doesn't have cable, she has fiber optics so no paid TV subscription...all streaming, all the time. None of the Fox or other TV services will work because they require you to have a paid tv subscription to your provider. That's why we put up the antenna to watch the games! There is ALWAYS a way!

You are scaring me MAGS!! I haven't even got them yet and you are already putting the fear of God into me! LOL

On the plus side, it's not my home that will burn up....I'm leaving the bikes at her house for now.....LOL

Yes those batteries are time bombs if the overcurrent protection has been shortchanged or deleted to save money. You CANNOT continually charge a li-ion battery. Most have that protection but I just got Kerry a small charger for rechargeable batteries from Amazon and it doesn't have it! You can tell if after charging, the light turns green....then it's protected. If it stays red forever when charging, you don't!

Thanks for posting the article....I'm off to read it.

Good morning/afternoon all,
We've certainly had some cold days and nights this week with temps down to about 24F. There's been snow in many areas of the UK and roads blocked about 25 miles west of me but just a dusting on the hills here. Hopefully it will keep its distance.
Lola reluctantly left his hide yesterday and only when I used the fake tort to make him come out to confront it. Then I was able to grab him and give him a nice warm soak. He was rewarded with some nice slices of opuntia which arrived on Monday - he loves that so I made it worth his while.
I'd better get back to my chores so TTFN.
Have a good Wednesday.

able to grab him
That's so funny Lyn!!

Guys, got a gruesome story...just happened. Today was a migraine day so I just decided that I have to eat so I tossed a TV dinner in the microwave...and just as the door closed, a flea or gnat flew INTO the oven (daughters rabbit where they come from on occasion)! So, you already know what I did....hey the dinner is covered right? LOL....4 solid minute on high...I open the door to stir and add 1 minute.....it's STILL ALIVE walking around under the glass! I hit another minute and closed the door. A minute later, still alive!

I prob should have set him free outdoors for that feat, unfortunately he wasn't, he shouldn't have been in my home...LOL

Wild though, 5 minutes in a MW!
