Hello,
I was recommended this light fixture for my tortoises. I purchased the ProT5 39w, about 35 inch light fixture. I was under the impression o was going to hang it from a low ceiling, however I see no way that I can install this lamb as a hanging lamp, no holes, hooks etc on the top. I received two small plastic clips and 2 small screws. No mention whatsoever in the directions. The product description said this " The ProT5 is easy to set up and can be mounted inside a vivarium, on top of a wire-mesh terrarium, or hung above or within an enclosure. " Does anyone have an idea what I am missing please. Thank you.

The Arcadia fixtures usually come with metal clips you screw into the top of the enclosure, or even a wooden plank to suspend from hooks, you then click the reflector fitting into the clips, can you see any in the box?

No, just two black plastic clips that dont seam to snap on to the fixture. I cant beleive for the price how cheaply this seems to be made, maybe I'm missing something.

Hi!
This kit comes with a fixture:
The metallic brackets on the left are attached to the ceiling and then you snap in the fixture itself in this brackets.

Ya, I didnt get those, just 2 cheap black plastic pieces, I guess I'll return it. No reason to do a DIY hang job on a $140 light, ridiculous.

That’s so weird! Everyone I’ve ever spoke with that has the Arcadia proT5 kit has those metal clips, ours came with it😕
I’m pretty sure you can buy them though very cheap! Save you returning, I don’t know why yours came with plastic ones

Show a picture of the clips? You should just need to screw the clips to the top, and snap the fixture into the clips.

I used a piece of 1x2. I screwed the clips into the 1x2 and then put coffee cup holder hooks on the top so that I could hang it from chains and adjust the height. This one is over my bearded dragon cage:

Ok, this is what I received exactly, please let me know what you guys think. I also have the bulb, not pictured. Not sure what I can do with this mount, the screws are so small the are not meant for those wall anchors. See the pic, thanks.

Yes, thats a good setup, not sure why such an expensive light just cant put 2 holes in top so we can hang them with chains. But my clips dont seem to fit on the fixture like yours do.

The cost of the light has to do with the superior quality of the tube and the electronics that run it. They are trouble-free, long lasting, and make excellent UVB for our reptiles. Your money was well spent.

You have the right clips. See the countersunk hole? You put the countersink screws through those holes and screw them into the top of your enclosure, and then snap the fixture into the clips. It's a tight fit, but it won't come loose and fall down later.

If you don't want to screw into the top of the enclosure, then you have to do something like what I showed in my picture.

The Arcadia Pro T5 fixtures starting coming with the plastic clips instead of the metal clips about 2-3 mos ago now. I did like the metal clips better, but the plastic ones do work, but I'm more careful not to break one when installing. Haven't broken a clip yet, but just seems a bit less durable!

I mount each clip to a small block of wood (or PVC) then clip on the fixture. Then put a screw eye into the block for easy hanging.

Interesting, I am glad mine still came with the metal ones back in October.

This is what I do so that I can hang lights that come with the mounting clips.

M4 Flat head machine screw through clip to coupler on top then eyebolt. It's usually easier to match up the threads at this size if you use metric.
