hi, sorry no new pics. my brother is still home bound. was wondering if my egg would have exploded or smell bad by now if its 140 days old now? just see darkness inside. i will keep it going but , oh brother what a wait. thanks.

Be patient. I've heard that some cake eggs take a long time. You can try adding a little water to the substrate if you think it has gotten drier. A LITTLE. We're talking drops. And not on the eggs, but off to the side or something. Sometimes a little added moisture will stimulate hatching in other species. If the egg looks all dark, that is a good sign. I think you've got a baby in there.
