Maybe, I heard that since Redfoots are related to the Galapagos tortoises they could actually live longer that

They are related but live around that age on average

My male that I got "Beast" is believed to be at least 45. The owner I bought him from had him for 6 years. According to the past owner, the owner before him had him for 30 years and got him fully grown.

Awesome. I too have a male with a similar story. I've had him for 15 years the importer actually kept him for 15 years because he is so big and old looking. But when he finally sold him I got him. He's very old. No idea for sure. But I'd say 50-60 or so.

Here he is doing his thing on top of a 15 year old female I raised from a hatchling. She's about 14.5" not sure on his. Been a while since I've measured/weighed him. He's around 17"


I've got another male just like him too. A tad smaller though.

Can you guys share pictures of indoor enclosures for your adult torts? my juveniles are very active and I need to build a large indoor enclosure. I don't want to be upgrading as they grow I might as well build something big for them. I have an idea but I need to see some pictures thanks
