Well it's been six months now since we rescued little Aku and all appears to be good, however we would like some opinions from some more experienced keepers on how he looks.
He seems to be enjoying his habitat as every night he will burrow into the substrate, then pop his head out in the morning. He seems to be eating well, maybe a little too well though as he seems to be growing quite quickly. Although we are not totally sure what quick or slow growth is to be fair.
One thing we have noticed is he does seem to spend alot time in his humid hide, or just hunkered down under his basking light. We give him a bath almost everyday which really seems to wake him up though.
We are working on an outside run for him so when the warm days finally come to the UK he can have some outside time. We'll update again once we've got it all sorted in a couple of months.
