My question, do we remove the algae on his back??

He isn't real fond of having me do it, but I would hate to have it be harmful to leave it. So I have been gently scrubbing with a toothbrush.
I am more the tortoise kinda girl, but this little fella is on our kitchen counter and is really growing on me. Loads of expression, especially when I reach for the shrimp food right below him in the cabinet. He looks right at you!
Thanks Na

The algae won't hurt him. You can continue gently removing it with a toothbrush - but if it stresses him out - you can leave it.

After I left mine go too long it seemed to be permanently attached. So I would rub it off every now and then.

Thanks guys, I just worry that it will build up and somehow be wrong for them.

I've seen much worse Na. It won't hurt him, but for appearances ... He's adorable. I love razorbacks.
