An All Points Alert from VA

I thought this was worthy of passing along. Please keep your eyes open for any female Leopards being placed up for sale or even if your neighbor suddenly has one. This is the information on the missing tortoise:

"Hoping you all can keep your eyes open for anyone offering to sell a 13" 15--20 lb female leopard tort. She has very long back claws and a malocclusion of the lower left jaw from an old fracture. She went missing from our tort yard in Annandale VA after work crews came through repairing storm damage--of course they were from all over and there's no way to track down who was here when. It is possible she levitated out of the pen on her own, and I shall hold out hope that's what she did and she will turn up in the neighborhood, but the smaller male is still here. And he follows her everywhere.

I'm just hoping to get the owrd out as far and wide as possible.

None were given on any of the posts I have saw. They may be thinking the jaw issue would be enough to get people started. They did ask if you see an animal you think may be the correct tortoise to send them pictures.

I hope to god she has not been stolen, it's worse than when they die, because at least you know, not knowing is horrible.

Sadly they think she was stolen by worker there dealing with storm damage from Irene. They only took the female, not the male.

No I saw where he had been on last night well in the wee wee hours of this morning any how.
