Holy crap! I just went out to water my Boxie exclosure when I noticed the dirt was ALIVE. ALL OVER! Ants, none stop ants! I started screaming unfriendly words as I ripped their hide apart to fish them out. Ants, all over them! (Three younger ones). Luckily, once rinsed off... they all appear fine. No bite marks that I can see. Keeping an eye on them.

I'm just floored. That enclosure is off the ground on iron legs. Been there for three years! Never had that issue before. In fact, I just said that to Yvonne in another thread here....

After looking further, they actually built an ant hill in there! I mean, in a matter of hours. I was out there twice earlier.

I hate ants like a mother f....

Holy crap. So glad you got them. Someone just a week or so lost one to ants. Those darn things. Get the Diatomaceous earth, food grade kind and put around the table. Hope the remain to be okay.

Spread tanglefoot on the legs. No more ants.

They all seem do be okay, still. Grabbing some Tanglefoot, hope that will keep them away. For now, the babies are in a swimming pool until the ants clear up.
