Apple cactus (Cereus Peruvianus)

So I know that the fruit from the prickly pear cactus is safe for tortoises, but I was wondering about the apple cactus. This is safe for humans but I want to find out if it's safe to feed tortoises. Anybody have any information? I'm having trouble posting a picture or sharing a link =(

This plant? I know people who feed the 'stem' to their tortoises after removing the rib with spines.
