Aquarium for enclosure

Hello,

This is our first post here, although we have used this forum endlessly for information for our 1.5 Leopard who's name is Denso. He is currently in a exo-terra terrarium that has a foot print of 36 by 18. We have considered a table and aquarium, at this point we are leading towards the aquarium as we have a crazy cat and 2 small children who are all very curious to say the least.

I have been exploring 135 gallon tanks which have a foot print of about 6 ft by 18.5"by about 22" high. Is there any concerns in regards to his air quality in there? Or any other pro or cons vs a table. He is growing a little faster than we expected(which is ok) and just want to ensure he has ample room to roam. He is approximately 8" long. We also have no idea how big he will actually get as the info all over the Internet is soo different. The breeder told us no more than 10-12" and then online is a whole other story to say the least......

Hopefully this is not really a repeat question and look forward to any insight!

They can get up to 18", but that is not the norm.

An 8" tortoise needs something around 4x8'. 6x1.5' is fine for a small one, but yours need some room. For your situation a closed chamber sound ideal. Like this: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/thread-32333.html
