Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a "breeding group" of adult red foots, but they all look like girls to me. Every now and again I think maybe I do have two males, but I'm probably just dreaming.
Please take a look at the pictures below and tell me what you think...

Thanks for your help!

Thanks guys. That's what I thought, but I was really hoping otherwise. I haven't seen an adult male red foot in real life, but I hear they could hump a basketball, and my ladies certainly couldn't do that. If anyone has adult males in Canada, I'll buy or trade for two of them!

What is the main thing you're looking at when deciding gender? The shape of the last scutes or the tail?

And while we're playing the gender game, here are a couple more for you, if they're old enough to accurately sex...

Recently acquired 7"... I think that's old shell rot too, isn't it?

Thanks again!

#6 is looking like a male and #7 is looking like a female. Would it be possible to take a picture of #6's tail. That will give us a better idea.

All but #6 look female, #7 may still be a bit young, but the shell on #6 has a more male look. The tail would help- if it is long (and you have several examples of short tails :) )then I would go with male. In the meantime, I would call it 0.5.2.

It looks like a bit of old rot or other injury on #6- it does not look like anything to worry about if it is all that dry and healed over.
