Just wanted to do a quick check with yall- we've been weighing our baby leopard on a digital scale, he's gaining a gram of weight every other day. If he's 30 grams on Monday he'll weigh in at 31 on Wednesday. Keep in mind he's only around 2 months old so tiny.
Is this a good rate at this stage?
Other than that he eats a lot and the perimeters of his shell plates are slightly higher than the plates themselves so no pyramiding yet fingers crossed.

Weigh weekly. They can lose several grams with a pee or poo, and gain several grams with a meal. Weigh the same time of day with the same routine. For example, weigh in the morning before eating, but after a soak. Or weigh in the afternoon after eating all day and before the soak. Etc... Keep it consistent.

Steady weight gain is a good sign.

House is the baby being housed? Closed chamber or open topped enclosure?

How old is the baby?

Pictures help us to better understand what is happening, so that we can offer better suggestions.

Hi Tom, we'll start weighing weekly instead of daily. Not positive on exact age, was supposed to be no more than five weeks old when we got him and he's been with us almost a month so 2 months old at most. We just started weighing him beginning of last week. He's visibly larger than when we got him. Since we weighed him first it's been a steady gram gain every other day.
He's in a closed enclosure, temp is 85 and humidity hovers between 80-90%. It's higher at night with the basking light off. There is always condensation on the walls.
His diet is pretty varied, mazuri, kale, various salad greens, zucchini, rose leaves and flowers, hibiscus etc. He gets supervised "walks" daily for a good 30-45 minutes and gets to eat whatever weeds he wants as he goes. Lots of clover, dandelion and various other stuff. We sectioned out a part of our property to allow weeds to grow for him.
He's active and eats well so not really concerned about anything in particular, just curious if a gram every couple days is proper. Right now he's 32 grams.
