Hello,
This is my 2 month old leopard tortoise Torterra (Tor)- a hill or rocky peak (Terra) - land or territory/the planet earth. He/She has been sick and has been on antibiotics for the past week and a half, so I was wondering how fast babies usually grow? He/She went from 31 Grams to 52 Grams in one month (pictures below). Is this a good rate? What are your thoughts? P.S. She is doing a lot better now health wise and never lost her appetite (when sick).

Wow, young for being sick. Be sure to keep her temps no lower then 80 day and night. A basking spot of 95-100 and humidity of 80%.
As for growth, they all grow at different rates. As long as she gains and doesn't lose she's doing good.

Yes I got some excellent advice on here when I noticed she was getting sick and have been watching her temperatures and made the necessary changes. He/She is doing a lot better and is back to her/his usual self. I was just seeing if anyone had growth rates to compare Him/Her to.

Wonderful news that your youngin’ has gotten past the “new owner” speed bump. I’ve got figures for my little leopard tortoise, “Shebelle” that I’ll post for you. I weigh her after a good old fashioned, turd producing soaking to get as good a weight as I can.

Got her 05/03/2017=142 gms

I don't have growth charts for my 2 Leopards, but they are 3 years old now and are siblings. One is nearly twice the size of the other. They were raised in identical conditions. Both of mine got sick when they were young but even after they recovered, they continued to grow at different rates. The smaller one is just as healthy as the bigger one and even has a more outgoing personality. I have no idea why they have grown at such different rates but you'll find that a lot of people who have multiple torts will have some that are just slower growers than others. As long as they are healthy I don't worry too much about it.

Thank you this is very helpful I will purchase a scale and weight Torterra regularly. I’m so excited about having him/her as the newest addition to the family.

Thank you for the advice. It’s nice to know they all very. Torterra is growing so fast I already need a taller hide to accommodate him/her and I have only had him/her almost 2 months.
