Depth wise? I usually try to make it at least twice the shell height, RES are deep swimmers but as babies they should be able to go down at least twice the shell height.

I have always topped my turtle tanks right up to the top giving them the maximum swimming space.

With babies you want it to be deep enough so that if they get turned over on their back, they can right themselves. They also need some sort of dock where they can climb out of the water and "sun" under the light.

As deep as possible with a few submerged items to rest on is the best advice I have given and recieved.
