Baby sulcata

Hello everyone I'm new on here I want to know I just got a baby sulcata do any of you know how long it will be till it's the size of a box turtle

sulcatas grow very fast!!! can you post some pics of your sulcata and his enclosure? remember to keep him enclosure very humid!

As of right now I can't post a pic but right now he is about 2 and a half inches it gots news paper down and grass

sulcatas need lots of humidity, there substrate should be moist. lack of humidity in a tortoises environment(enclosure) can can pyramiding. the first pic is a sulcata raised in high humidity and the second was raised in low humidity.

Yeah I know it can get pretty bad I do my best to keep the humidity high

the humidity should be around 80%+ news paper substrate will not work well. do you soak your baby sulcata daily?

I do it once a day sometimes more what kind of bedding would be best I'm told a lot of different things about the babies and beddings

coco coir, cypress mulch are good substrates that hold humidity really well.

about 80% of the sulcatas diet should be different grasses and nontoxic weeds.

Yeah I got that down all he will eat is weeds from my yard I can't get it to eat much else

do you know the basking spot temps and the cool side temps?

The hot side is about 90 to 100 the cool side is 80
