These came from a nest laid 9/18/11. I left the eggs in the ground over winter (and spring), dug them up on 6/9/12 and finished incubating them indoors. 7 eggs total. 3 hatched, 1 hatching, 2 will hatch any day, and 1 doesn't look fertile.

I really like how each one is unique. The one on the right would be my favorite here with the flaring all around its shell.

Gorgeous babies you've got there. I think the one on the right is my favorite, too, although I like how the one on the left is so high white, almost looks like a little sulcata :) . They've already got such unique shells, it will be interesting to see the looks of them as they grow up.

They're beautiful!
But 10 months? Is there a way to get them to be dormant or something?

They are beautiful. Be sure to post pics of the ones still waiting to hatch. Would love to see how they are marked compared to these ones.

The past two years I dug them up and they would hatch out after about 3 months or so, but I was only getting less than 20% hatch rates. The ones I leave in the ground over winter have closer to 100% hatch rate.

Okay yeah that's great to know. I don't have any knowledge on breeding lol

They are beautiful Neal. Congratulations, and good job figuring out how to increase your hatch rate.

So, I have a few questions. :D Are you keeping any of these great looking babies? If so, how many? Are you going to withhold pictures of the others? Cause I gotta be honest, I want to see ALL of them!! By the way, they are all gorgeous!

Really cool pics! What an interesting incubation process. I'm glad you figured it out.
