I have a 4 year old leopard tortoise and she loves been out in my sitting room, in warm hiding places I was wondering if I could get her a small cat bed with them been fluffy and warm??
The very best and most comfortable and safe place for your small leopard tortoise is in its own habitat, safely tucked away in a hiding place in the corner of the habitat. If the habitat has lights and heat, that's what the tortoise needs to be warm. A soft, fluffy cat bed does nothing to add heat to a cold blooded animal that doesn't make its own heat.
How can you tell the difference between a tortoise "loving" a hiding place and a tortoise hiding because it's scared of being out in a big sitting room all by itself?
