The first picture is about 2 days after. I got Benny back in August. He weighed 98 grams. 2nd picture is today, he weighs 204 grams. I don't know if this growth rate is good but he seems healthy and is very active. I just wanted to show off my little friend.

Very cute. There is no real norm. They all grow at their own pace. He is pyramided. Don't know if you raise him with the high humidity need, 80% with temps no lower then 80, but it will help to get him to grow smoother. Sometimes even with the higher humidity some will still pyramid some but not as bad as they do without it.
Cute little bugger anyway. Like his higher round dome.

He's growing but has a lot of pyramiding. Could you share a picture of your enclosure ? The humidity needs to be 80%.

He had a lot of pyramiding when I got him, his enclosure is a zoomed tortoise pen, I know his humidity isn't as high as it should be but he does get daily soaks and eats pellets and greens daily. His new enclosure is a wip, working to get greens and stuff planted for him to graze on and something other than the wire top to help keep his humidity up

He looks great, and that's just mild pyramiding, I think too many people are focused and judgmental on this issue.

One issue I have found with wooden enclosure when you use a high humidity enclosure is that the wood rots. I would line the inside with a plastic or vinyl sheet stapled to the side so that the moisture from the substrate doesn't rot the wood. Then, I would cover the top with something, possibly the same thing and cut holes for the lights. It should also be perfect for holding in the heat and the humidity is much easier to control.
