I'm trying to plan & plant an outdoor enclosure for my red foot for when he is older. I want to make it tropical and I was wondering if birds of paradise would be safe? I'm to lazy to look it up on TT at this time. I also want to plant ferns and other tropicals. Any ideas?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think it's a bulb and shouldn't be used.

Im not sure about the birds of paradise. I like to use small palms, hibiscus, banana palms, rose of sharon, and ferns.

Thanks. I will start making a list with your suggestions. Come to think of it I haven't seen any in anyone's pens.

banana leaves look similar and are safe for torts.
