Transitioning Tortoise from Mazuri to more varied diet. He loves mazuri and i love to see him eat, but i wanted to move to a more balanced diet. been feeding him some hibuscus and dandelion greens and hes finally starting to eat it after a few days. Now when he sees me open his enclousure he charges towards me to bit my finger? does he think im a mazuri pellet?

Do you have a Leopard?
I'm not sure what their diet is. But Mazuri is 100% not needed. It's just really handy.
Feed other items for a while.
Trust me. A hungry tortoise will soon forget all about Mazuri. Then you can bring it back as just part of the diet and not the primary food source.
Mazuri can get a tortoise spoiled. Especially young ones.

Noted! I thought dandelion greens were better T.T
Fresh food is always best.
You can always get a great assortment of fresh greens at places like an Indian grocery store. Their diet is largely vegetarian and their grocery stores have an outstanding variety of hard to find greens
