Hello,
I have the grazing Russian tortoise mix from Carolina pet supply and have planted 3 batches. The first batch started great, but ended up with tiny back bugs and never fully sprouted in the pot. The second batch, in a brand new pot, also started well and ended up with small green worms. The third batch, the best batch of all, is in his outdoor enclosure and was THRIVING, I went outside today and noticed a huge portion of the new undergrowth sprouts were gone, upon further inspection, I found grey worms, about 1/2 inch to a full inch, in the weeds. I pulled all I could find out, about 6-8 of them so now I have questions:
1. Is there organic bug killer available that won't harm my tortoise?
2. Can I grow the seeds inside, under his MVB?
3. Are any of these bugs harmful to my hatchling?
I don't want to give up yet, I know there is a solution, but with a hatchling involved, I need to take precautions.
Thank you, as always, for the invaluable knowledge.
