I am building my first tortoise enclosure for my two baby redfoots and wanted to build most of it out of wood but because of the enclosure needing moisture I wasn't sure how to go about doing it without using wood with toxic chemicals in it. Anyone have any ideas? Trying to build something around like 3'x5' that's about 3' tall.

ask your hardware for food grade paints/laquers/epoxy that you can use for waterproofing.

Either a portion of fish pond liner or, What I've used, Very fully mixed Fiberglass resin, paint brushed on. Resin only.(NO fiberglass mat.) I haven't heard many others use this method, but I use it because I have a zillion gallons of it. Make sure that whatever you use will be harmless once dried or cured and wont be something that your tort might try to eat.
