my friend said to put a baby blanket over the dogs head and see how long it takes for him to get it off. bully was 5 sec. i am not convinced thats an IQ test for dogs.

If that's the test then my dog is not smart haha When you put a blanket over her head she freezes up and won't move. I could probably leave her like that all day and she wouldn't move until someone took it off her head.

That 2nd picture looks like he has been on the bottle!!! Too cute!!
I just took in a bully that someone had for 2 yrs and then it snapped at the 3 yr old. What a wonderful dog!!! Although he hasn't been introduced to a pool, kids, dogs, cats, anything. Just another case of someone finding something so cute, buying it on impulse, then regretting it. Glad I was the one to answer the phone at work. He was headed to a shelter!!
What a sweet breed!
As far as the testing, it's all in good fun. I had the best, smartest lab in the entire world and he just lied down when we tried that test. He was no dummy!! Laughed the entire time he was under the towel, waiting to see how long we would take to remove it!!

Okay, my basset took the "blanket IQ test" her best time out of three try's was 10 seconds. The last time we tried she was bucking around the kitchen and smashed her poor head on the fridge. We are watching her to make sure she is not concussed. That is very hard to tell with a Basset hound!

I guess I will have to try it with my Rat Terrier noew that we are getting competative. I will give him three trys ibd post best score.

We did it once and he jumped on the chair to get away. He crawled out quick, but draged it on his back for 14 seconds. Not sure what to think. My Lab is so old if I tried it, he would leave the blanket on until lunch time.

My Bull Terrier wallers like that in the yard. I think it's cute until she comes in all dusty from the ground. She thinks it's fun...so I guess kids will be kids and dogs will be dogs. She took the IQ test...3 seconds was her first try.
