Those are my adult calagur borneonsis. I bought them last week. I asked many people if it is the female of calagur borneonsis and many people ask. I just want to ask to experience of these turtles if it is female of calagur or other species.

Some pictures:

Calagur is an older name, but is classified as Batagur now, on the left is a female and right is a male on bottom picture. Very nice specimens. But nowhere close to being fully grown.

Is it the female of batagur? Because I really want to breed them in the future, because if that is a different species beside batagur I can't breed them obviously

Those are pretty big turtles. Do you have a pond?

I'm sorry, I have no idea, just wanted to say they look amazing... The male's little red stripe is very strange, do they all have that?

Wow, critical endangered turtles, trying to breeding them and giving them a comfortable home is a noble thing to do. What sort place did they come from? You don't have to name the location but it is useful to understand their natural environment and the process they went through to arrive in your possession.

They are beautiful, I hope you do your best.

Both turtles in your possession are Batagur Borneonsis, both male and female. Callagar is an older taxonomy latin group, but recent research has put this species back into the Batagur family. The guys usually come from jungle rivers near borneo and close by areas of asia. The females during laying season will swim out to sea and lay their eggs on sand bars several miles out. Once the eggs hatch they have to swim from the sand bar out in the sea all the way up upstream through the river where there parents are. Usually this swimming spance is up to 20miles.
