So we have had Little Foot (sulcata tortoise hatching) for about a week. But I have only found one pellet. He is eating however, I don’t see any signs. Any ideas? P.S. I have cleaned his pen every day and replenished his food everyday.

Have you been soaking the tortoise for 15-20 minutes daily in lukewarm water? That is normally when they will defecate.

I had the same question. Mine never poop in the enclosure because they empty out in the soak.

Are you housing this baby indoors in a large warm humid closed chamber?

Have you seen this?

Indoor with a mostly dry enclosure and a small humid refuge for him.

That is not good. Did you read the linked thread? If you want him to thrive, you'll need to make some changes.

The humidity refuge is removed for cleaning besides that this is his pen.
