Can a tortoise catch the flu

I am curious if a tortoise can catch the flu. Our oldest thinks we should move tanks (baby sulcata) enclosure to her room since its the only room our youngest is not allowed in (She has the flu we found out this morning). SO I am looking for advice. fyi our youngest shows no interest in Tank never goes near the enclosure and definitley wont hold him/her for fear of being pooped on. I know this is prolly a very dumb question but need to know if possible my oldest is driving me insane
