Ceramic Heat Emitter questions

Hi all I just got my redfoot yesterday and i have the UVB and ceramic heat emitter. My question is, how long do i keep the CHE on? 24/7 or at night only?

i attached photos of the enclosure, but i now am going to change the enclosure by getting a plastic storage bin as the info from others have made me change my mind.

The CHE should be set up on a thermostat. Always on, the thermostat will turn it on and off to keep the temperature at your set level as a background heat.

Like Mark said I keep mine on a thermostat set to 86 degrees.
