I BUILT THIS over the summer and they love the new space (and I am also super proud of my carpentry skills that I never knew I had!) For a while they had been sharing the 4 x 4 raised garden bed, but obviously that was not working. I built an 8 x 8 enclosure for Yertle (big man) and kept Mertle (who is much smaller) in the 4 x 4 raised garden bed above. They have both grown significantly!! Power sun lighting and they are hung using outdoor plant hangers (genius, right?!), substrate consists of orchid bark, cypress mulch and coconut coir. In the summer, they roam the patio or the courtyard in front of our apartment but now during the winter, I am finding that I can't let them roam like I used to because they get into EVERYTHING! lol They are like children, I swear. But they are my babies and I will do what it takes!! <3
I'm hoping to attend grad school in Florida within the next 3 - 4 years and THEN they can be outdoor tortys
