I was blessed yesterday. A very nice person and his wife cut, split and loaded a cord of firewood onto their trailer then drove over 200 miles f their home to mine and stacked said firewood in my yard. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve friends like this. What a selfless act! Now I'm set for the winter. No worries on keeping the house warm. I simply can't thank them enough. While they were here they also split a bunch of eucalyptus rounds that were too big for my wood stove.
Wow what wonderful people!

Now, that would be wonderful ! I don't watch current Dr Who series but still watch the early ones a lot - my favourite Dr Who is still, and always will be, Jon Pertwee - so if you could manage that transformation, I would be so very grateful.

My favourite is The Governor, the inimitable and first, William Hartnell.
Check out the latest series and the four specials that preceded it.
After several years of mediocrity, Doctor Who is back to being excellent!

Wow Y, great news! Good things happen to good people!

I hope you can track the noise Lyn...that stuff can be maddening! We have a "proving ground" base on the other side of the Bay that tests nearly every weapon our country fields.....the booms can last all day. So i got to thinking that maybe I could combine a bunch of my fireworks into 1 big boom and 'answer" them? Just for fun. Then I thought how poorly I would adjust to having my freedom removed! Yikes!

Ahh, shower fresh! Great time this morning....Kerry met me at the door with coffee sweet & light and a 7-11 Big bite hot dog when i was done
That's some next level wife stuff!

When I finally go to the Dr I try to keep my things relative to others. The guy in the bed next to me got a very different post-op talk than I did. He has a large tumor. His day is not going well. For me, I didn't eat or sleep for two days....two little polyps and a rash in my tummy. It feels like they used a pipe cleaner between my mouth and bum....but it tastes like they pulled it the wrong way!

Enjoy the day guys.....

I met Jon several times at conventions.
Very nice man.
Once, I was shopping in Marks and Spencers at lunchtime and saw Jon and his wife Ingeborg in the food section just across from me.
I hesitated, knowing he was doing the Doctor Who stage play in the theatre that night, and thought better not disturb him, not right now.
A minute or two later, there was a tap on my shoulder.
I jumped and turned arund, it was Jon.
He apologised for interrupting my shopping and asked if I had seen him, and I said I had but didn't want to disturb him.
He told me that I should always say hello and asked, "Adam, are you coming to the show tonight"
He remembered my name!
I told him that of course I was and that I wouldn't miss it for the world and we chatted for a minute or teo before I told him to, "Break a leg" and we parted.
The show was, of course, completely brilliant, and when Jon walked out onto stage, swirling his cloak, and said, "I am the Doctor!" The theatre erupted for several minutes and I cried.
Great man.

There are still some nice people around and that always wars my heart!
I use them and betray them, of course, but they are still very much appreciated.

Oh Adam - you lucky person - and I remember you said a while ago that you know my other great hero, David Attenborough !
And now, of course, you have wifey and Tidgy - what a wonderful life altogether !!!

I don't understand. Why would a septic tank require an alarm? To let you know it's getting full?
That could be a reason but here the sepic systems are now required to have a emulsifier that breaks down the waste. For some reason when we lose power. The pump needs to be reset.

The Attenborough family is special....all of them! Pretty cool

a graphics expert among us?? Hmm, do you do Id's? I want a couple of plastic identities in case I sell something on eBay.

Hey, at least I'm honest about wanting to keep the profit from what I took all the risk on while it appreciated in value. It's mine, period. I don't want or need anyone to get me to chip in to taxes from my job. This is different.

So, bout that ID??

Okay.
This thread was a breakaway from another chatroom which I believe is also quiet now.
The Nut House was years later on, a breakaway from this one, in part!
But this thread is a lot quieter since most of the regulars either left the forum or died
Yes somewhat quiet and dark but still going 😊. We just need a proper introduction from some of the old ones again . Evidently a lot of tort people have a strange sense of humor. 🙃chat rooms like this keep popping up.🤪

I'm so glad for you but you DO deserve it. They know that too.. Your help is invaluable to many people. I always pray you'll get help like that. They answered the prayer. They are blessed and wonderful people.🤗
