Not a lot between our £ and your $ these days so probably about same.
Dear Lyn,

My old college friend from when I was studying in Chichester, West Sussex said she drove all the way back to Abermule, North Wales on her spare petrol. Dad laughed and said there something wrong with her petrol meter🤣🤣🤣.

Anyone thinking about buying a new car. Wait 3 or 4 months. Car manufacturers like to have a 90 inventory. Just about every manufacturer has over a 400 day supply. You should see some deals. Right now Ford cannot sell a truck. They will need to cut prices. I worked for General Motors for almost 30yrs. I keep up what's happening in the industry.

I went for my rescheduled stress test this morning. A-OK but while there, I took this photo of the Helicopter pad.

Seems like you'd want that pad ANYWHERE but there! LOL God bless 'em.
Seems like you would want a helicopter there.😁
Hope your test comes out ok.
I hate doing the stress test.
Do you know how difficult it is trying to run on the treadmill with one 🦵. 🤣

Does anyone know what Ray's talking about?

Natrah
Jeff showed a picture at the hospital. Where he was having his stress test done. He mentioned that the helicopter landing pad was in a weird place. Being that Jeff was having a stress test. I thought it would be better if there was a helicopter there. Incase Jeff had problems with the test and needed to a medical helicopter fly him to a better hospital.
When you have a stress test done. They have you run on a treadmill to get your heart rate up. I was joking that it is hard for me to run on a treadmill with only one 🦵 🤣

Not much room for manoeuvres between the building and those cables!

I'm hoping my car can hold out until March when the new plates for the year are issued. Just to be able to see deals and compare prices. I would love another Ford but they don't do small hatchbacks anymore. The smallest is a Puma which I think is quite a bulky, ugly looking thing.

Dear Chef,

Do you still have trouble with your neighbours? I had to tell my neighbours off for night time noise twice this week and I have informed my landlords by email and phone.

Natrah
Sorry you're still having to put up with that, Natrah. Record it if you can for the council environmental health dept. and keep a diary.

I get some respite in the winter from my neighbours. I still hear their dogs and TV and grandkids running around their upstairs like a herd of elephants, but at least their offensive language is confined to indoors.
Take care.

Good afternoon/evening all.
Still dry here but the temps have dropped again.
Another weekend is here and I still haven't managed to start any of my NY resolutions.

For my birthday, my sister bought me a ticket to see a band tomorrow night in Cardiff which is about 15 miles away. I would normally drive but with my car being unpredictable at the moment it wouldn't be wise driving late at night. So I'll probably go on the train.
Getting there isn't a problem but coming back is proving difficult. The last train back to my area is just after 11 pm so I don't think I'd get to the station in time. It's ridiculous that our capital city with theatres and music venues doesn't have any later trains I could leave the venue early but another complication is that there is also a big football game in Cardiff tomorrow so the city and trains will be packed with drunken footy supporters - not a pleasant experience. 🥴🥳🤮
I'll probably have to stay the night with my sister at her son's house. He has offered me his sofa, but I worry about leaving Lola. I know he'll be fine for just one night but still worry.
I'm looking forward to the night out but makes me realise I need a reliable car. Mine is going to the garage next week for tests and an estimate for sorting out what's wrong with it. My car is only worth about £700 now, so its fate depends on that.
Does anyone else have plans for the weekend?

My weekend is going to be the same old boring thing. It's going to be nice though. I get to go outside and get my shopping done and we're going to have a heat wave. It'll be 38°f for the first time in days. Monday the temps are dropping again and we are promised the coldest temps of the season. I keep wanting to pray 🙏 🙏 🙏 for it to please not be true but I haven't. This is the most normal temperatures we've had in over 20 years. Now they call it an artic vortex whatever....we probably need it. And I'm sure we need the so called extra snow.

Yes heard about your arctic vortex on the news and about how it will affect us too. Hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

Dear Lyn,

I complained again to the landlords today but otherwise I must record it. Are you in a flat with your neighbours?
