All these record breaking weather events around the world is very worrying.We might come close to hitting a heat record in my university town on Thursday with a high of 5 C or 41 F! That is unusually warm for this time of the year.

So that Ray can Rose a birthday day cake!Rose and I were sitting at the dinner table. With her birthday coming up. I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday. Rose said, why don't you take me somewhere I haven't been in a while.
I sat and thought about it. Then I said, I guess the kitchen would be a good place to start.![]()
I will be taking her out for dinner..She doesn't really care about having a cake.So that Ray can Rose a birthday day cake!

Well then I was early cause I saw it on Saturday so now yesterday I missed it again. Geesh how did that happen right when I missed getting on TFO again. So happy late birthday againThank you all for the birthday wishes- not belated at all, it's my birthday today (13th - unlucky for some - especially for my parents
)
I think the banner must appear on all of my posts but only for the day. It would have appeared after midnight here which is several hours before many of you get there.
My sister's are taking me out for lunch so looking forward to that.
I'd better get myself ready so see you later.
Thanks Cathie. Early, on time or late, all birthday wishes are greatly appreciated. XWell then I was early cause I saw it on Saturday so now yesterday I missed it again. Geesh how did that happen right when I missed getting on TFO again. So happy late birthday again![]()

Depends on what is wrong. Not sure the age and miles on the car. If it is a loose connection of the wire going to the injector. I would hope there would be no charge.If the injector is plugged The mechanic could try and flush out. That shouldn't cost more than 100 dollars. If the injector is bad, again age and miles in mind. Replacing one injector would be a option. Depending on the car a injector could cost 50 to 150 dollars. The labor would basically be the same as a injector flush. So add 100 dollars. If it's a bad wire harness. Each injector wire can be replaced individually. As long as the injector wire harness is in good shape. One injector wire plug could be bad. Because of a rodent chewed it or it was made brittle by engine heat. That again should be a 200 to 250 dollar repair. A whole harness replacement would be more of course. Depending on the cost of the harness. I am assuming it is a 4 cylinder motor. So a standard wire harness should be around 100.00. But again should be a quick fix. So anything more than 500.00 would be unlikely. If its your EMC ,it would probably be somewhere between 60 to 200 dollars ( depending on which EMC you buy)plus labor. Most of the time the EMC is located somewhere fairly easy to get to.Good afternoon/evening all it's been another grey but dry day here and slightly warmer again.
I used the OBD reader I've just bought for my car today. It came up with the code P0201 and 'injector circuit / open cylinder 1'. I've no one idea what it will involve to fix or how much it will cost but at least I can show that to the garage to get an estimate. If it's expensive I have to think seriously about whether it's worth repairing. I have been looking at new cars but I don't really like any of the newer small models and they're all much bigger and bulkier now. So I hope it's not a big job so that I can keep my little Fiesta a while longer.
I hope you're all having a good Tuesday. It's gone midnight here and I'm already in bed so Nos Da. See you tomorrow.
Thanks Ray. My Ford Fiesta is almost 17.5 years old and the mileage is about 104k, so wear and tear kicking in now. I have to weigh up if I'm throwing good money after bad. It's still cheaper than a new car though.Depends on what is wrong. Not sure the age and miles on the car. If it is a loose connection of the wire going to the injector. These are U.S. prices, so hopefully the prices are comparable there. The more your mechanic willing work with you. You should come out ok. Hopefully you have a good honest mechanic.
Not a lot between our £ and your $ these days so probably about same.Hopefully prices here are comparable to your side of the pond.
I'm just glad you are getting a bunch of happy birthdaysThanks Cathie. Early, on time or late, all birthday wishes are greatly appreciated. X
I agree with you and maybe even you might have to do a few more repairs for awhile. I'm not sure about the newer Fords like yours but older ones last a lot longer than that many miles. Repairs and upkeep is a lot cheaper than a new car payment every month. If you buy a used car you have another used car that'll need repairs so unless it's a rust bucket fix it. That's just my opinion.Thanks Ray. My Ford Fiesta is almost 17.5 years old and the mileage is about 104k, so wear and tear kicking in now. I have to weigh up if I'm throwing good money after bad.
