I don't know about others but I've always done my own taxes. I think it began in 1974. Anyway this past year was a hoot. I quit working, got married, sold a home and moved every 401, pension, annunities and other funds to combined accounts. We received more 1099, 98,99x,99n..blah blah blah!!! This was VERY uncharted territory for me.
So I made the "phone call of shame" to our money guys and asked them to do them. I packaged everything up, turned it over with only 1 instruction. "I won't ever ask you to do anything illegal but I do NOT want to owe anything, not one dime. They reviewed and asked 2 questions and it was done. 450 bucks for them to file for me and zero stress. 72 hrs later they were signed and submitted.
We are all packed, suitcases locked... 9 hrs until we leave! I'm excited....we ended up getting the club mobay arrival service afterall. We've used it each time but They were sold out. Kerry signed up on the wait list and they came through! They have their own customs line and a free lounge with individual, carpeted bathrooms to change or wash up and free sandwiches and soft drinks in the lounge. A very smart 35 bucks ea.
We asked for our same # place to stay in the resort....hope they come through too.
We finally get our honeymoon.....cool beans!

Yes and thank God he's not telling his buddies about it.
He's probably the only one that shows up. He does look healthier than he did last year.
On a completely different note ~
Tonight's ABC World News Tonight with David Muir ended their broadcast with a story about an endangered 97 year old Galapagos tort hatching a first clutch of eggs - and they showed both the adult and the hatchlings.
THEN
NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt ended their broadcast tonight with a story on a huge Loggerhead that had been (they think) bitten by a shark, it being healed, and released.
Woo-hoo! Two on the same night on national news!!!

Those stories are probably going to go viral and I'll get to see them on my regular News channel too. Thank God people are becoming more aware and the news is sharing because of that. The News wouldn't be sharing those stories if they got poor ratings from them.
I know it feels like 4 years, but its only been 2.5 months. Buckle up buddy, its gonna be a ride. lol

I actually got my taxes just a few days ago. Since I don't own any property nor can I get any tax reductions, I didn't have to do anything myself. It sure was nice to have them all ready and calculated by the agency!
Yippee kale! Getting back to my usual diet and creating a few presents!

Tax calculations are a mystery to me .
I just had a letter saying I owe them almost £800 for the last tax year which completely baffles me. My pensions are my only income and tax is deducted before I see a bean; interest on savings is also taxed so I've no idea why I owe anything.
They've even included £75 which they said I owed a year ago, but that would be taken off my state pension through last year so why are they still asking for that?
I hope they've made a big mistake and owe me thousands - sadly I doubt they have
They'll be getting a letter off me too but they could tell me anything.

Lola doesn't like kale. He will eat it if I mix it in with other leaves but if I buy a bag, most of it goes to waste.
Kerry and I are going to have a long and uncomfortable conversation after we get home about this.

Once again we have dark clouds and probably storms on the way.but We might even have snow flakes tomorrow. It's been raining cats and dogs here for several days and theres flooding. And mother nature is flipping out so we'll be ice skating tomorrow . That's spring in Ohio. I've seen it snow in May. We'll see.
A long range weather forecast I looked at says we'll have snow on 28th April. I'm not going to put any money on it though.
Be careful on those skates Cathie!
