Beautiful weather here too for the past few days. I got my convertible from the shop yesterday and it was fun driving around.

Kerry's birthday is this week and it's time so I booked a return to Sunset at the Palms in Jamaica yesterday for a few days. We leave Friday!

I had reached out directly to the resort on Friday but they wanted $756 PER NIGHT with no airfare included! WTF?? Maybe they take illegal drugs?? That's what Kerry and I call " stupid pricing"

So I spent some time on the 'net and found a much better package including airfare for the same resort, same time frame. Whew!

Subnado time by weeks end!

My 2 new lawn sprinkler rotors will arrive today. I had installed "full circle" type that I thought were adjustable but they aren't. Dang...81 bucks wasted....dang I do stupid stuff. These puppies send water 65'....but it looked pretty funny watching my sprinklers water the neighbors yard across the street because I couldn't control the arc. LOL

I hope the get the motorcycle back together today. It would not rev out. It would breakdown at 5000rpm. The carbs stopped leaking but I found 0 ohms between the coil leads and spark plug leads depending on how I held the wire...a sign of a bad ground likely. Looks pretty bad. I've taken 2 of 3 coils off and cleaned that rusty hardware up.

Electricity doesn't flow well to ground through mounting bolts like this. Hopefully this will make it deadly again instead of being a disappointment.

Enjoy the day guys!

Yes every March for us. I know it's different in the US and you had yours a few months ago didn't you?
Actually we have our Mothers day the second Sunday of May every year, for the same reason as in the US. And our Fathers day is the second Sunday of November. And that date was chosen because it is exactly 6 months from the mothers day, same as in other Nordic countries and Estonia.

@Lyn W….Heeeeellppp!!!!
I looked those threads you mentioned up and they are all about tortoise scutes lifting.
This one was specific to a red eared sliders scutes. They are in water all of the time.
My little one’s scutes are lifting a bit and I am worried what I am doing wrong?
She has a heater in her water a filter and slugge remover stuff.
What makes their shells almost like lift???
I can’t find the thread and it’s out there!!!😫
I just wanted to know what she was told to do about it. Before it gets worse I want to fix my problem. Thanks in advance to all who can help. 😘😘😘😘😘😘

Is it one of these

Do you change the timer when the clocks are changed? I have mechanical timers so I have to physically switch them to the new time.
Same here Lyn. I'm supposed to alter Jacky's lights at 7.00 am (28 degrees Celsius) and then at 7.00 pm (20 degrees Celsius).

I meant lighting/heating timers, but I guess not many of you have indoor setups...
I do have an indoor enclosure but I have an adult Russian. I have a craft room and his enclosure is a large enclosure with an open top. During the winter I keep the humidity at at least 40%. I keep the temperature 75°f at the lowest during the night. Then get it warmer through the day. He wakes up to the sunrise every morning. In the summer I carry him outside every day to his outdoor enclosure. And play hide and seek with him every evening. He's hard to find but I bring him inside every day for the night. I keep track of the outside temp and humidity levels with the WiFi type devices. If it gets to hot or cold I just have to find him and walk a few steps to his very own room 🐢

Good morning all. It's another beautiful day here. Yesterday was lovely too and Lola was super active. He was in and out of the garden all day. He had a lovely long bask and a good graze on his grass. He was one really happy tort!
I hope everyone else is lucky with the weather too.

Good morning everyone!

PS: I couldn't watch BBC Breakfast because is was all about the state of our rivers!

I don't like to watch the news because the world feels so unsafe now it worries me.

Good morning all and happy 1st April. We're a quarter of the year through already!!
It's April Fools Day here so I'm looking out for any pranks. 🤪👀

The dry, sunny weather continues and looks like it's set to last for at least the next week. Very nice but we need some rain too for the wildlife. My hedgehog pops in most nights for a snack and a good drink.

I have to go out and about today so I'll see you later TTFN.

Here in Finland different newspapers often write prank articles, is it common over there too?

Yes they do. I just finished reading one where it claimed the Prez had instituted an order that there would only be 30 days in every month, so today is actually April 2nd.
