Good morning all, it's bright and sunny here with some cloud, but I'm hoping to be able to see some of the partial solar eclipse that's happening this morning.
Apart from looking out for that I've no special plans other than to maybe give my fence a second coat of paint. Maybe I can do both at the same time! My life is just wall to wall excitement 😄.
Our clocks go forward an hour tonight, is it the same in the US? I hope everyone has a good weekend even if you do lose an hour's sleep.

I once did that in Oct. So instead of putting the clock back I went forward and ended up 2 hours early at the pub where I was meeting friends for lunch. I thought I had the wrong place or that they had stood me up. 😀
My sister also forgot to change the clocks one year. They invited me for lunch at 2 pm, and weren't too happy that I was an hour late, until I pointed out they were still an hour ahead. 😉
Now I always remember - 'fall back and spring forward'.

I had a great view of the partial eclipse this morning. It was quite cloudy but it was visible for most of the hour and a half. I tried to take some pictures through light cloud, but wasn't successful. I should have used my 35mm camera.
Did anyone else in northern hemisphere see it?

Ours changed i think 3 weeks ago, tho I didn't realize that until last Tuesday. Explains why it was staying dark so late in the mornings

Me too but I say spring forward fall backward. Our daylight savings time began March 9th. So now I'm mad that I have to get up this early 😉

So Sapphire is 18!

Natrah
No. I'll have had him 18 years. He was probably around 4 to 5 years when I got him. So approximately 23 give or take. When I got him he wasn't really in good shape but I decided not to send him back. He had wholes on the top of his shell. They're healed over.I didn't know much but my opinions about wildlife. Try to keep them as close as possible to what they're used to living in .So I'm just really happy I was able to help him. Still I'm so glad I found TFO. I've learned what I did right and what I needed to improve on. If I do it right he'll probably out live me but Not if I can help it 😊

Awhile ago there was a thread
where a lady had a red eared slider
and its shell plates were “lifting up”.
I have been trying to find that thread and can’t seem to locate it anywhere????

Can someone please tell me what thread to look for? ❤️

Have you tried typing 'scutes lifting' in the search facility? There are several threads about it. If you can't find it jaizei is very good at finding old posts so maybe he can help.
