Good day everyone.
We've had some very welcome rain here. Not as much as we need but quite heavy showers so it's freshened everything up. There's a thunderstorm warning for tonight.
I love the smell after rain falls on dry ground - It's called petrichor.

It will be greatly appreciated by the wildlife and help them find food.
I leave dry kitten food out for my hedgehogs and it's all been eaten the last few nights. When they can find the worms and insects they like they usually just have a nibble of the dry stuff so they'll be happy tonight.

I've been busy in my garden today cutting back my hedge, holly and yew tree. Pretty quiet next door as the husband went out so, no sarcastic comments today.

I saw a hedgehog crossing the road today, haven't seen them in a long time!

We spent most of the weekend outside. The weather has been very nice. It's supposed to rain most of the rest of the week though so im glad we are leaving Friday to go to Fla for her daughter's wedding. It's going to be a fun trip that should take about a week. We are flying down then driving her dad home and he is around 135 so we have to only drive a few hours at a time coming home.

We have 3 water-access points in our community. We have a dock, a boat ramp and a quite place all in separate paths or roads to get to. We were riding bikes and heading to the quiet place which is on a peninsula or point of land but the deer beat us there. There was a dozen of them so we didn't want to spook them...we didn't go down the path.

Thanks N.....but we're in Chestertown across the Bay from Annapolis.

We have talked about getting a RV several times but it doesn't make financial sense for us.....but tell me this isn't super cool anyway!

I have to tell you what I've just seen. A poor starling with a crow on top of it and dozen Magpies all making a noise because they want the starling as well. I knocked on the window and went out as fast as I could and I think that I had startled the crow into releasing the starling as I could see the crow but his victim.

You tube is fun N but it entices you to care all about if folks like it, how many view it....etc. It seems that the emphasis is to keep YOU the poster engaged for as long as possible. So just beware the temptations they put up. LOL

I went for a manicure this morning and as we drove, I realized that Ray is going to have to do the greasy work when we tear his motorcycle engine down this coming weekend. I hope he doesn't mind that I talk about it because he doesn't brag but I'm excited. Ray has not one but 2 big torts and I can't wait to see them again too. I'm also kind of in awe at the work Ray has done on that basketcase of a motorcycle he started with. He has it completely torn down, every single piece removed including the engine. 99% of the work was done alone. I really want to see how he managed to pull it off. We will play for a while on Sat and yes, im bringing surgical gloves...several pairs. I can't show back up at the hotel in the evening with dirty hands! Lol

A great hand cleaner is butter so bring along a pound. I taught that to the mechanics in my life what you don't use for hand cleaning makes a great addition for breaking bread together
