Good luck Anastasia,

Mine was okay but I have an appointment for a filling next Tuesday however if anyone else wants to go instead of me they are welcome 😉.

Well, I have a dental appointment on Monday - a small problem, I hope - followed by my neurology appointment on Tuesday, which will involve 35 small injections in my head (and the fact that they are small doesn't make them less painful !) But actually, I am very glad to be back on the routine, as I've been having some extremely bad headaches recently. Zola will be there too, so I have to be brave !

Thank you!!! I am nervous a bit because I don't know what to expect after "the buttons" will be removed from my teeth.....

Not sure where to put this, but I went to ETSY and searched "tortoise", and there were quite a few places offering cactus pads/nopales.
Thank you for the information! I checked Amazon several months ago and nopales cost about $9.00 (I don't remember if it was for the pound or less). I was going to order it but I was not sure about the freshness.
Then I realized that there are Mexican stores in Texas where I could possibly find nopales. And I was right. $0.85 for the pound of nopales and $0.98 for the prickly pear.

Maybe clear retainers? I had to wear mine for 2 years, or am still wearing it, but you need wear it less and less as time goes on.
Well, "buttons" got removed and there are spots now. The doctor said I need veneers to cover it🤧 and clear retainers for life (nights only).
And I don't really care about it now. My tortoise is sick. She is the priority.

This obviously isn't medical advice, but I would be very hesitant to get veneers for aesthetic purposes only. A teeth whitening might be a option, I never got anything done to my spots but they weren't all that bad.

My doctor likes to make money😁
I do have an anomaly. My wisdom teeth grow back after extractions.

I have an anomaly too, but not as bad, missing permanent teeth (as in they never existed). Have been treated for different orthodontic problems since I was 6. Hopefully this is something you can take your time to think about. Veneers must be crazy expensive there.

Everything is crazy expensive 😫 I have already invested many thousands of dollars in my mouth and I am refusing to pay more😁
And I can't have anything metal because I work with High Frequency machines 😒

That sounds very painful Angie! I hope they are successful and stop those headaches which must miserable for you. I don't know if I'd be brave enough for that.

My sister used to do highlights in my hair using the cap and crotchet hook method, but she was a bit heavy handed and it felt as if she was drilling into my skull so I decided it wasn't worth the pain and let my hair go back to its natural colour. I'm definitely not cut out to suffer for fashion.

Good evening everyone!

I have a dental checkup tomorrow. Would anyone else like to go instead?

Natrah
I must remember to make a dental appointment for a check up. They used to send for you every 6 months but now it's annually - at least if you're a NHS patient like me. Dentists are real money grabbers.
I refuse to become a private patient but most of the treatments are only available if you pay private prices anyway. I think they only do basic fillings and extractions for NHS patients now. Touch wood I've no major problems.

Good afternoon/evening all.
It's been a week of mixed weather here but I like it like that.

Last weekend I started visiting garages to look at cars just to get an idea of what's available, it's not something I enjoy doing so it's been a chore, but my little Fiesta isn't going to last forever so I need to think ahead..

I hope everyone is well and having a good week so far.

This coming Monday I finally get one cataract removed. It's about 2 months later than it was supposed to be. I got sidetracked. I'm glad it's finally happening and I know it's a simple procedure buttt... I'm still a little nervous. By the time I get there and finished I'll be high as a kite from a couple of valiums so... They'll have to carry me out and home like a sack of potatoes 🙃 sorry I'm getting so carried away .💤💤💤👁️👀then I gotta do critters and none of mine behave themselves.😭

It's going to be a zoo 😜. My dog will think I look like some crazy pirate with a patch on my eye. He'll probably bark all day. The rest of them will be typically doing their thing. The wabbit will be trying to eat dog food. The cat will be irritating the dog. The only one that'll be sane is my tortoise except but hell be playing hide and seek. OH NOO eeek!!!!

Ok...todays update! CT scan taken Friday and a chest x-ray today indicated no pneumonia or other bad things. Neg for covid today. 3 Drs in a week seen 4 times. Separately I had a cardio stress test done this year just to be sure.
So no bad news.....thats a huge relief.

No taste or smell for a week...like zero. I can thrust my nose into 100 octane race fuel and smell nothing.its weird.
I can't walk 10 yds without being short of breath. 1 flight of stairs wipes me out for 15 minutes but I feel better and am hopeful all this goes away.
Kerry cut the entire lawn with the push mower so she is hopeful as well!

I had covid 1/1/22 in the morning and felt and tested neg 4 hrs later. It was the only time I have ever been sick as an adult, this is the 2nd. I agree this is some kind of covid response.

Lyn, we need to chat. The injections are what, botox to numb the nerves?
