We can compete then 😁
That's funny as heck A! Tell you what, I'll forfeit and you can cover both??

I went 56 hours w/o sleep because I was afraid I might not wake but I got 4hrs this afternoon so now I'm up again. I really have to manage myself better because I think I've used up all the reserves inside. I have mod to severe sleep apnea so I have been trying again to get used to a mask....ugh. It's not going well. Lol

This coming Monday I finally get one cataract removed. It's about 2 months later than it was supposed to be. I got sidetracked. I'm glad it's finally happening and I know it's a simple procedure buttt... I'm still a little nervous. By the time I get there and finished I'll be high as a kite from a couple of valiums so... They'll have to carry me out and home like a sack of potatoes 🙃 sorry I'm getting so carried away .💤💤💤👁️👀then I gotta do critters and none of mine behave themselves.😭
Good luck - I shall be following your experience with great interest, as I am now in the process of getting on the waiting list for the op myself. I think it will be a long time before it happens, though - maybe even next year. I am scared, but better vision might help my balance, among other things, so I am also sort of looking forward to it !
Very best wishes for Monday from Angie

I'm hoping it will correct my balance issues too. I'm sure it will. Plus there's some other issues it'll correct that I'm looking forward to. Like being able to see color like I used to. Not having to use a magnifying glass with my prescription reading glasses, and a light etc etc so I can't wait. But I still have to get through it. So I'll have to behave myself for another 2 weeks and practically sit on my butt and get well again. And then it'll be another 2 weeks for the other eye. Then it's someone doing an incision in my eyeballs. I sure hope they're having a good day 🤔

Ok...todays update! CT scan taken Friday and a chest x-ray today indicated no pneumonia or other bad things. Neg for covid today. 3 Drs in a week seen 4 times. Separately I had a cardio stress test done this year just to be sure.
So no bad news.....thats a huge relief.

No taste or smell for a week...like zero. I can thrust my nose into 100 octane race fuel and smell nothing.its weird.
I can't walk 10 yds without being short of breath. 1 flight of stairs wipes me out for 15 minutes but I feel better and am hopeful all this goes away.
Kerry cut the entire lawn with the push mower so she is hopeful as well!

I had covid 1/1/22 in the morning and felt and tested neg 4 hrs later. It was the only time I have ever been sick as an adult, this is the 2nd. I agree this is some kind of covid response.

Lyn, we need to chat. The injections are what, botox to numb the nerves?
Sorry your still suffering Jeff. Hope normal senses are restored soon.

Angie's the lady to talk to about injections, they would have to knock me out to give me that many jabs in the head!

It's going to be a zoo 😜. My dog will think I look like some crazy pirate with a patch on my eye. He'll probably bark all day. The rest of them will be typically doing their thing. The wabbit will be trying to eat dog food. The cat will be irritating the dog. The only one that'll be sane is my tortoise except but hell be playing hide and seek. OH NOO eeek!!!!
If any misbehave you can make them walk the plank, Cap'n. Cathie!

It's a Catch 22 - you need your sleep to heal, but it must be very uncomfortable for you. I always sleep better in a chair or with a sloping support pillow when I have a bad chest, it's very difficult to find a comfy sleeping position when you can't breathe properly. 😟

Good evening everyone!

Below is the supplement that I bought for Jacky and she seemed to enjoy it this morning:View attachment 391754
I use one called Nutrabal for Lola - just a tiny pinch on his food occasionally. I also use a tiny pinch of calcium dust just once or twice a week, although in the summer if he's had a lot of good weeds and maybe some opuntia slices I don't use it at all. Too much can cause problems.

Yes around 9am. I don't usually get out of the house by then. I'll have to have the critters pretty much done for the day. Then I'll have company trying to help 😜 the rest of the day. They do try really hard but explaining things I just do by instinct is tiring. The only thing I guess I really dread is recuperating.

Nutrabal seems to be more popular here in Europe than in the US!

I put a pinch of turmeric on Jacky's food as well yesterday as that was a good ingredient of the supplement which the vet suggested. It has anti-inflammatory qualities but I won't be doing it every day she currently outside basking in the sunshine and she is probably warmer than I am in here!

Good morning all.
It's pouring down here at the moment 😀. We also have a thunderstorm warning for the next couple of days so looking forward to seeing that - if it arrives.
My water butt arrived yesterday. I haven't connected to a downpipe yet as I was a bit nervous about sawing a section out for the connector to fit in but it should be catching some rain with the lid off. When it's set up properly it should mean my garden can stay watered if we have a dry summer - although you can't beat a good old fashioned wet British summer!,☔
Off to the shops now so TTFN!

I rub a tiny pinch of Nutrabal on Zola's breakfast cucumber slices once a week. He never objects !

Good evening everyone!

Been a bit of a sad day for me as it is six years since dad passed away but on a brighter note we've had 27 degrees Celsius here. Jacky's pet carrier was outside with the thermostat and this is what it said. She has managed to throw cataracts and arthritis straight out the window by foraging round the garden and climbing and digging in the rockery!
