So sad about those kids. I cannot imagine what the folks of the 7 yr old are going through. We are never supposed to bury our own children.

I bailed on the reunion yesterday afternoon and came home. My "family experience" growing up isn't what most had apparently. These reunion things conjure up the demons in my memories that as most who know me, I do a pretty good job of keeping buried otherwise. I absolutely feel like a "+1" at them and since I don't like feeling like that, I exercised my freedom to leave. They will get over it....not my problem. Kerry understands so it's cool with us.

So all that said....here are my actual reunion pics...

Oh...and I was watching this owl this morning here at home.

I'll go later in my truck to help pickup stuff...

Thankyou Lyn. How was your nephew's birthday?

Natrah

PS: I recorded a temperature of 29.50 degrees Celsius earlier.
Similar temps here too Natrah. I went shopping about 8 am while it was cooler.

The party was brilliant thank you. When my nephew stepped out into the beer garden he had absolutely no idea that 60+ family and friends were waiting to surprise him. His face was a picture!

Ian loves music so the theme was inspired by Glastonbury but called 'Gardenbury' and his sister had organized printed t shirts, tote bags, hats and wrist bands in fact everything you need for a music festival. There were lots of activities for the children, so the parents could relax.
It was lovely catching up with some of the family I hadn't seen for years. Usually these days we only see each other at funerals so it was a nice change to having something special to celebrate. A good day was had by all🙂.

I don't know why this has posted twice - too late to delete one now. 🙄

So today I go into the garage to start my little car. I took the female box turtle back to where i found her. Anyway I start the car and hit the button to retract the roof into the trunk....yes it's very cool. Then I hit the button and the garage door opens so i pull the car out and close the door. My garage is air conditioned and set at 75F and the humidity is around 40%.

LOL...5 seconds after i pulled it outside in 92f and 72% humidity....every piece of glass/mirror on that car turned white with condensation! Too funny!

Cool though, very cool! Took ten minutes before I could drive it!

Cathie was it yesterday or next Monday you're having your other cataract done?
I was getting ready to post about that very thing. 😊It was yesterday. That side was the one I decided to just take a chance on after the broken bones etc... I was scared a little. It was giving me fits yesterday in my sinuses. Also I had to close the curtains because sun light hurt a little bit. I HATE that. I'm nosey and I'm a bird watcher. Etc etc...i was gripey. I'll admit it.😉 today I woke up and it's great. I did really good with my checkup today and I'm allowed to drive because I passed the eye test. Yeah!!!. Things are looking up.😊

That's great Cathie.
I was so busy on the weekend I forgot to send my best wishes, but I'm so pleased it's all over and that you're making a good recovery.

Good morning everyone!

We had a bit of rain last night and it's cooler today. Cathie did you have your other cataract removed? I tried to understand your post but it's good you can drive.

Natrah
No rain here, Natrah, but it is cooler which is very welcome.

Good morning all.
I forgot to say Happy July yesterday. We're half way through the year already - how did that happen?
It's still bright and sunny here but cooler with a stronger breeze so much more comfortable. I'm looking forward to some rain on the weekend.
My water butt is really proving it's worth in keeping the garden watered and for washing bird bath/feeders etc.. It's a 210L (46 gallon) size but I was surprised how quickly it filled up when we last had showers - just goes to show how much water comes off the roof and usually ends up down the drain. I definitely think it's something every garden should have.
I'm having a quiet day today but there's plenty to do so I'm sure I'll be busy. I hope everyone has a good day too. TTFN

Both are gone. Now I can actually see that I put new bright lilac drapes in the living room. OMG! And well...the surgery worked 😁
