Oh, my... 3 1/2 hrs without AC won't be fun. Be safe and hydrated!

We arrived home about 4pm. When we first started driving. We kept the windows closed and I ran the rear A/C. I pointed the vents towards the front of the van. It kept the temp bearable except for the last 1/2 hrs. It was better than having the windows down. While going 80mph on the freeway. I think I will be lazy tomorrow and fix the blower motor mon. Or who knows, I just might take to the repair shop. To have the motor replaced.
But there is part of me that still wants to prove I can do it with my disabilities.

Lovely photos, Natrah - especially the one of you with a pink hat ! It makes me feel very nostalgic to see these once-familiar places again - and makes me regret I haven't seen them for so long.

I forgot to mention that after some of the concerts my friends and I visited the QUOD, the Turf Tavern and the Mercure Hotel. Angie do you remember these places?

No, sorry, Natrah,I was young and very serious, and didn't really have friends of the sort I could socialise with - but I did love Oxford. I'm very glad you had a good time.

We're in South Carolina for a funeral tomorrow....taken 2 days to drive 540 miles because Kerry's Dad is 95 in 3 weeks and my wife is batsh*t crazy. Remind me not to do this again.
On the upside, we went to the British Bulldog pub for lunch and do you know what they had? THC beer....called " hi variety". No, I did not imbibe but I should have asked for a 6 pack!

Jeff, I hope they had a good dish of Fish & chips on the menu. with a name like "British Bulldog pub", it would be my first choice for lunch...along w/a pint!

You and me both A! We met her cousin at 630 and went back to the pub for dinner where another cousin joined us. I had the Large, fish and chips....pure perfection! I gave up pints 33 yrs ago but I tried the other beverage this time too.....im nothing if not impulsive. The music was a metal mashup from the 70's all evening...very cool mix.

Did you have mushy peas with your fish and chips ? They are the traditional accompaniment -I like them,But Richard grew up in Canada, and thinks they are revolting, so I don't usually have any, as the mere sight of them puts him off his food !

I have had mushy peas once years ago, and I have to say I didn't like them!

No self-respecting baby would eat it ! It is made using dried large peas (not the pretty little fresh ones) -soaked and made into a sort of porridge - but it seems to go well with the fish and chips - I used to think so, anyway !

Dear Lyn,

How are your neighbours? I enjoyed a good holiday but I was dismayed to come back and find one of the two noisy neighbours still here. I assume that he is having trouble finding another flat so I will keep on at the landlords and at least I know that they are trying to get rid of him.
