Ok Jeff. Two things I never cook with are curry and cinnamon but I decided to give it a try anyway. Even though I hate them both. I think the word curried meat must mean something different than the spice. The actual taste of the stew is kinda citrusy and mellow at the same time. You can't taste either one. Mine turned out kinda soupy and I wish I had some garlic bread in the freezer but it will be nice tonight anyway. It was fun to cook. I almost forgot the garlic though 🥴View attachment 396718.

I found out why curry leaves are hard to find here in the US. It's restricted closely because of a bug that can infect citrus that it may carry in if imported. It can still be found easily online though even at Walmart. I just didn't want to wait. It was so fun to cook something I had no clue what it was going to taste like. I think I must be a gluten for punishment. Another thing I liked about it was the subtle heat from the hotter spices and yet it wasn't too hot. I learned a lot. Thank you 😊

I did not attend the funeral N but I did watch part of it. They livestreamed it for family who couldn't attend. It was very nice and there were hundreds of people. Apparently the guy was a real prince of a man who reached out to those lower than himself, to pull them up.

Kerry would die for this.....kerry would. LOL I have a very boring palette according to my oldest. This looks delicious but I would have to take deep breaths first!

I spent 2 hours today disassembling, repairing and washing my little nearly 30 year old Dr Evil slam-doll.....when you hit it, it says a catchphrase. I set it up on the shelf with my 60 year old original Beanie & Cecil helicopter cap, a wooden jeff-replica made by my uncle don when I was 6 and an original......wait for it folks....
"Turbonator"! Yup that scam classic 1.5" ring of toothed sheetmetal that had millions believing it would give them better gas mileage in the 1970's by shoving it into their carburetors! The promise was that it would swirl the fuel/air mixture ensuring a better burn. The boys made millions
I just had to get one for the shelf.....it's still new in the box.

Original ad;
The Turbonator is a non-moving vortex generator that goes inside your air intake hose, right after your air filter.

How does it work?
The Turbonator's airflow dynamics produces a swirling, fast-burn effect in the combustion chamber. This creates finer particles of atomized fuel, allowing better flame propagation and more complete combustion.

Pure BS!! LOL They were sued several times but it didn't matter, no one could prove measurable damages because it couldn't do anything and it only cost 20 bucks! What a brilliant play on "the system".
I don't think you should feel bad about not attending a funeral of someone you really didn't know personally. Maybe one of the best things you did for Kerry is not be there. It may have made her more uncomfortable because she would have been concerned about you and the fact that you would feel like a fifth wheel. 😊

I finally got around to fixing my little diesel heater for my shed last night at 11pm. I bought the 3 suspected replacement parts a month ago for 12 bucks. I used 1 sensor out of the box so i still have a backup. I have to remount it later today.....done! I woke early so rather than wake everyone else, I sputtered outside.

Yes it's a little hokey mounted on the swinging door but i don't open that side often and it doesn't take up valuable floor or wall space! The air coming out is 275F.

I turn on the heat so i can wring out the moisture to 35% with the dehumidifier in the pic.

Mark was right, every day is a vacation!

I was very worried about the lack of snow in FINLAND...thankfully i can relax now. Thanks FT! Hey bud, are saunas really as popular there as I am reading? Seems like everyone has one....even if they don't own a car they own a sauna. At least that's what im reading. Is it true?

I'm with you MS Cathie....i have absolutely no idea how we managed to raise 3 kids, coach 55 different kid teams, hold a full time job AND get the stuff done that i wanted to do. Must have been magic!

Friends of our just adopted the cutest little 5 yr old girl. Here she is wearing the hat Kerry knitted for her.
