We had some idiot snow plow driver come down our side road after the city advertised Main Roads first. They had the plow set to dump on the right so all cars on that side got the snow pile- 6"-10". THis was done Sunday at 11 AM while it was still snowing. THe freezing rain transitioned in the evening so all snow piles became ICEBERGS. It took me two hours with shovel, ice melt and an dull wood maul (5LB). to get my AWD truck free. My neighbor on the other side pull the tarp off his chevy colorado and pulled out. Heck my neighbor with a Ford Econline Van got out from the alley. THe plow made it 10x's worse
My neighbor across the street had his driveway shoveled out completely after the storm. Then the snow warriors came through and dumped it all back even higher in front of it. I'm still snowed in. We're not dealing with ice yet but we will be. Common sense tells me it's going to melt and we have snow mountains here there and everywhere. Wish I was young enough for ice skating 😁🤞🙏

I think N was asking if we will stop and see MS Cathie along the way. Well N, that would be neat....ms Cathie, you may think otherwise? We will likely miss Ohio all together. We will be south of Cincinnati in Kentucky but we are thinking of returning via the UP of Michigan down over the Mackinac Bridge then over through Canada at Port Huron and over past Hamilton Canada to Niagara falls....
There's also the chance that we get to MT Rushmore and decide to break for home......

It's 7 this morning. The fireplace gas been heating our home for a whole week. I run the furnaces fan only and since the return is in the living room with the fireplace, i get 70F air out of the floor registers. Not bad!

No "electricity stress" every time the heat comes on. I know many of us feel that when our units come on. Many in Maryland feel this since the single party government closed so many powerplants. Many people now have $750-1500 monthly electric bills. The state will help them with my money. It's fun to watch the crash though. We remain mostly unaffected by their buffoonery but many aren't so fortunate. They can't afford to move....they are basically prey for that government and they are being picked apart 5 bucks at a time in new fees and new taxes.

Ah well it could be worse...we could be them but we aren't. I know I should feel bad...
But i don't. We all have free will and we all make choices throughout our lives that will impact our futures....they chose poorly.
Ok rant over.

Kerry and i got into the hot tub last night in the dark & 13F. We were in an hour or so. The only hard part is getting out and running into the house before we freeze in place on the porch....a la T2000 Terminator in liquid nitrogen!

Kerry is upstairs quilting so I took my toy car on the ice in the front yard. The birds are eating in the back yard.
Can't really do much outside..its all ice so no bikes or scooters. The wind is too feirce for sledding in the one place we have...down the hill onto the iced over creek. I'm waiting for a break then go do it quickly before things melt!

Here my toy ran out of power...now i have to do the walk of shame but differently. LOL

God bless you MS Cathie. I hope that your song won.
Neither one of us gets excited for award shows. Neither of us has watched one for decades but we began watching it for fun last night. We bailed as the new artists were playing. To me, all the new tunes seemed to have AI generated beats to which the artists built thier songs.

I would be curious to N's take on it but I don't think she's into the new music. Am i wrong N?

And im sorry....i just don't "get" rap....and i once dated the daughter of one the founders of the Black Panthers when I was much older than her! LOL her mom wasn't excited to see me in her living room adorned with those pics of Eldrich Cleaver and the Chicago 7 but we all got past that old school stuff.

Today it's supposed to break freezing for the first time this month! Maybe the tobaggan will come off the wall in the garage today?

Its really a fun world isn't it?

I didn't watch. I did find out Doeche won though today for Best rap album because of the song Anxiety probably 😉😁. Everyone relates 🤗The melody is infamous because another artist I love did it too but different words. It was Somebody I Used to Know by Gotye. Come to find out they're all friends 😊

I read this last week. I'm not surprised I suppose. I was predicting this along with AI characters replacing people in movies back in the 80's while building my first 8808 based computer. I wasn't a soothsayer. It was kind of obvious how tech was going to roll over people eventually. We're at "eventually" apparently.
They will figure it out. I have faith in the young folk. Not all young folks, but there are still some brilliant kids out there.

I doubt AI will scream uneducated remarks into the microphone as they collect their awards in the future but hey, it had to end sometime didn't it?

A word on "anxiety".
The word that has destroyed more lives than war in my lifetime.

This isn't an argument nor am I trivializing anyone's issues.

Maybe I'm wrong but to me anxiety is simply unfocused nervous energy.
Everyone learns as a child how to focus it into a form we can use as an assist so it's not a roadblock. Some don't...they suffer emotional damage when faced with stressful situations. They freeze in times of peril unable to move, frozen by the very fear they actively avoided.

Courage my fiends is simply using those same fears to give you the energy boost you may need. Courage isn't the absence of fear despite all the movies showing you something else. Courage....is being scared to death like everyone else but being able to focus on what needs to be done, not on what may happen.

Standing in front of the class to read was for me life changing and i thank my teachers everyday for that. It teaches a child so many emotions and feelings.....today it doesn't seem as important to help someone push through fear ...they just want a pill or the kid isn't required to read in front of the class because they have "anxiety".

That faith in the young folks sure gets tested!

Have you tried making snow where you throw or spray water and it falls as snow?

I can't say I like rap either. But I do also. Or any good song that I like. I don't care which type it is. I enjoy listening to classical or even opera and their screeching if it has a nice melody 😊
